Change a life… change your own
After motorcycling through Nepal in 2010, we were able to connect with a regional community seeking assistance to build a hostel for girls to attend high school. Without this hostel, it is not possible for girls living in remote villages to complete their education.
Over 10 days we helped construct the first building of the hostel. In under a year the local Nepali organization and its donors completed the hostel, which now accommodates up to 40 girls- providing them with safe living quarters so they can complete their education.
With your help, change can be swift and life changing.
There are many projects (particularly woman empowerment) projects that require your support, both financial and physical labor. In particular, we would like to assist with the construction of a new hostel in Kathmandu, Nepal, to house young women who have been subjugated to the sex trade and contracted HIV/ AIDS. Every year approximately 10,000 girls from the ages of 9 to 16 are sold, stolen or forced into the brothels of Bombay or Kathmandu. Goals

2. Provide financial scholarships for the girls to attend school.
3.Funding for the annual operational costs of the girls hostel.

Funds required
a) Purchase of land and building construction- US$140,000
b) Furnishing of hostel- beds, linens, kitchen utensils- US$5,000
c) Scholarships for girls to attend high school- US$10,000
d) Annual hostel operational costs, including a resident supervisor- US$7,500
e) Computers with software programs loaded- US$7,200
f) Clothing and personal items for the girls - $150 per person/year
g) Funding for drug treatment- US$140 per person/year
